This are our answers to frequently asked questions.

Do you do direct billing? ^

Yes, we direct bill to a large array of insurance benefit companies. Please check our current list of supported providers here.

Will you be able to check how much is left on my insurance coverage? ^

There is no way that the clinic will be able to check the insurance coverage of a client. Clients can only check their coverage through creating an account and logging in to their insurance account.

Do you have a promotional services on going at the moment? ^

We provide Senior's discount which is 10% off the price of a 60 minutes massage treatment session only. No senior's discount on less than 60 minutes massage treatment is offered.

Are you a Registered Massage Therapist? ^

Yes. RMT's are highly trained professionals who undergo extensive education in their discipline. In Alberta, professional RMT's are required to complete 2200+ hours of accredited training and passing a set of rigorous exams. They must also take part in continuing education and training to stay in good standing.

Do I need a doctor's note to receive a massage treatment at We Care? ^

Most of the time, the answer is no, however you may need a doctor's referral in order for your insurance company to cover some or all of the cost. It is completely based on your insurance plan and provider. We recommend that speak to your insurance company about any potential doctor's note requirements prior to coming in for your first appointment.

Do you accommodate "walk-ins"? ^

We do not accept "walk-in" clients. We have chosen to operate by appointment only to ensure that everyone who visits us for a treatment will have our complete and undivided attention and will receive the highest quality of experience. As for our new clients, we recommend that all intake and consent forms will have already been completed digitally through your appointment confirmation email so there will be no delay and we are able to proceed with your treatment.

As we do not offer the typical "walk-in" appointment where a client can show up impromptu, you can still book an appointment online and attend an available appointment time slot in as little as 1 hour (depending on practitioner's availability).

How far in advance you recommend I book my appointment? ^

Regular clients at We Care book their massage treatments monthly, by-weekly, and even weekly. Most clients will book regularly scheduled appointments weeks or months in advance to make sure they get the dates and times that are most convenient for them. We highly recommend advanced booking to ensure that you secure your convenient treatment times. Depending on the demand, booking in advance could mean few days, weeks and up to a few months.

Can I request to add myself on the wait list of a practitioner? ^

Of course you can! You can send as an email at contact@wecaremassageandwellness.ca. We require you to please provide us your complete name, accessible phone number, chosen type of massage treatment and for how many minutes. Each treatments we offer 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 minutes. When we receive your message we will contact you to complete and confirm the booking as soon as there is an available spot.

Is the clinic accessible to wheelchair? ^

Yes, the clinic is accessible with wheelchair. There is a wheelchair accessible ramp that runs from the parking area and up to the main lobby. In order to access the service elevator you have to press the buzzer # 204 and the massage therapist will be happy to meet you at the main floor for assistance. Our clinic is at the first suite to your right.

Which building entrance should I use? ^

The NABI Business Center features two entrances side by side on the west side of the building. Looking at the doors, the entrance to the right labelled "Wellness Hub" will lead you straight to We Care Massage & Wellness. After entering just follow the floor passing the waiting area at the right straight to our door.

What type of massage should I book? ^

There are many different types of massage. Our RMT's do not stick to one style, we blend a variety of therapeutic interventions into a cohesive treatment plan. Deep tissue, relaxation & swedish massage, various connective tissue therapies, use of added modalities with massage treatment are all names for doing similar things, manual and massage therapy where the goal is to decrease the pain being experienced and help to move more comfortably and confidently. The type of massage you require depends on what brought you to investigate massage therapy in the first place.
